2. MCCA New Website - The Methodist Church In The Caribbean And The Americas (MCCA) has now established its own website. It is a work in progress. You may view the site at http://www.mccaonline.net This was launched on Tuesday May 22, 2007 during the Welcome Service of the Connexional Council Held in Kingston, Jamaica.
Methodist Welcome Ceremony for 2007 Connexional Council and Service
for the Launch of 40th Anniversary Celebrations.
The ceremony opened with a grand flag raising ceremony during which the flags of the eight Districts of the MCCA as well as the Conference flag was hoisted. The Jamaica Constabulary Force Band provided music during the Flag raising ceremony which was led by Rev’d. Otto Wade, Connexional Secretary. Rev’d. Everald Galbraith, Jamaica District Secretary, led the Welcome service and accompaniment was provided by Miss. Alison Wallce. Special guests at this service included Bishop Dr. the Hon. Carmen L. Stewart, O.D., J.P. Custos Roltolorum of St. Andrew; Rev’d. Gary Harriot, General Secretary, The Jamaica Council of Churches; Honourable Bruce Golding, leader of the Opposition, Jamaica Labour Party and Rev’d. Ivan McElhinney, President of the Irish Methodist Conference.
